The Introduction

Most rap albums have an introduction track that get the ball rolling. Eminem had public service announcements on his first two major albums, while the drop of 2 quarters and a gun being loaded kicked of 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a serious bang. Now of course this isn’t an album, its a blog; but what better way to get the ball rolling than an anecdote that the main audience of the blog would understand?

My Name is Ulysses Escobar and this is Beats, Rhymes, Life.

This blog is about Hip-Hop/Rap and the multitude of culture that make it what it is today, Through features, interviews, profiles, album reviews and awesomness, BRL will give a voice to up-and-coming Rap artists that attend Rowan University, as well as the South Jersey and Philadelphia area. It will also take into consideration the important events and random details that seem to happen at an instant in the rap game. For the avid Hip-Hop head or just the occasional listener, this blog will be able to guide you through every step of the way. So In the Immortal words of the Notorious B.I.G.,
